According to Lisa Bloom, a lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sex crime victims, the FBI made a reckless decision by not investigating Prince Andrew’s involvement more closely.

Prince Andrew was connected to a sex crime ring in 2019, which still resonates today. The skein started when Andrew’s name came up as a businessman Jeffrey Epstein in connection with the lawsuit filed against
Lisa Bloom acted as attorney for five of Epstein’s alleged victims. His view is that the FBI made a reckless decision not to go after Prince in the case. Bloom believes that Andrew’s kingship saved him from a harsh sentence.
– The decision in question must have come from a higher authority. It’s about Prince Andrew though – was this perhaps a diplomatic problem? Didn’t they want to tarnish their relationship with Great Britain? Possibly, Bloom states Secrets of Prince Andrew in the document
– I really believe that if it had been someone other than royalty, the investigation would have continued and they would have interviewed eyewitnesses. If they had enough evidence, they would have handed him over to the United States for trial, he adds.

The lawyer also brought up the 2021 trial in which the US Virginia Giuffre said she was forced to have sex with Andrew at the age of 17 on three occasions in 2001.
– He (Andrew) had to think that “everyone is going to see how wonderful I am”. In reality, the situation was the opposite. Virginia Giuffre said that Andrew sexually abused her when she was still a minor. Had Andrew been found guilty of this, he could have spent many years in prison. The interview in question could have been used in court and it would have been chaotic for Andrew: the FBI had a video recording of him that would have proven some of the man’s claims to be false, Bloom analyzed.
Andrew has repeatedly denied the charges brought against him. In the end, Andrew and Giuffre came to an agreement whereby Giuffre dropped his civil suit against the prince. Andrew avoided a civil trial, but he had to pay 14.3 million euros in damages to Giuffre. It was later reported that Andrew’s mother, the Queen Elizabeth II would have paid his son’s million compensation.
In January 2021, Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew would lose most of his titles. The decision had been expected. According to British newspapers, Queen Elizabeth and Andrew made the decision by mutual consent.
