Munich (dpa) – FC Bayern is expanding further and is opening a new foreign office in Bangkok. It is the third location after New York (2014) and Shanghai (2017), said the Munich-based company.
After the USA and China, the German soccer record champion would like to develop Southeast Asia as his next focus market outside of Germany. With its office in the Thai metropolis of millions, FC Bayern wants to “intensify direct contact with football enthusiasts, develop partnerships and expand existing cooperation to promote talented youngsters”.
According to the club, there are currently 39 FC Bayern fan clubs in Southeast Asia. In the summer of 2017, the so-called Audi Summer Tour stopped in Singapore for a guest performance by the Munich pros. In 2000, FC Bayern played a friendly match against the Thai national team.
