Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called “a very, very unusual practice” warning from the US Embassy in Moscow about possible terrorist attacks in Russia. The Kremlin spokesman noted that the Russian intelligence services are investigating whether such signals were from American colleagues.
“I am currently unaware that there were such signals,” Peskov told the media on Monday.
Earlier, American diplomats informed US citizens about possible “attacks on shopping malls, metro and railway stations” in Moscow, St. Petersburg and on the border with Ukraine.
The US Embassy asked the Americans to think about leaving Russia, not counting on Washington’s help in the evacuation, writes RIA News.
