Sabam for Culture, PlayRight and the artist associations Facir and Galm founded the Fund Belgian Music in the spring of 2020 with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation. The support fund wants to support the Belgian music sector, which has been hit hard by the consequences of the corona pandemic, in the creation, recording, release or promotion of their music.
In the meantime, there have already been two calls for projects and 101 music projects have received a total of almost 250,000 euros in support. But the need remains high, because more than 700 projects applied for a total of more than 4 million euros in support. That is why the Fund Belgian Music launched a third call for projects.
The fund now also receives support from Sabam and PlayRight. In total, this concerns an amount of 100,000 euros.
