“Sony Music takes the allegations against Lil Kleine very seriously and will in no way tolerate the behavior shown in the images circulating on social media,” a Sony statement said. “This seriously conflicts with our company values.” Sony therefore stops the working relationship with the artist. The company declined to comment on the incident earlier this week.
Lil Kleine recently announced his partnership with Sony Music after he reported that he was breaking up with his record label TopNotch. TopNotch, which was released earlier this month Ibiza Stories released, said on Friday that he wanted nothing more to do with the rapper. The label has stopped promoting Lil Kleine’s music.
Lil Kleine is said to have clamped the head of his girlfriend Jaimie Vaes between a car door. The examining magistrate ruled on Wednesday that the 27-year-old artist, whose real name is Jorik Scholten, was allowed to leave the cell pending the investigation. The Public Prosecution Service appealed against that decision.
