THEThe draft law on gender-based and domestic violence, approved on 7 June by the Council of Ministers, introduces a series of measures aimed at strengthening prevention and repression of violence against women in general and in the domestic sphere. In the light of the established rules, WomenXRoad And You Technology have decided to join forces to further ensure the safety of women during travel, especially at night.
Violence against women, pink parking areas are coming
And so, to help purple dots created by thethe non-profit association for street safety and against gender-based violence, will be added of the “Rosa” parking areas organize by the electric micro mobility company sharing. They will be experimental for the next 12 months, then it will be decided whether to keep them and/or add them. Scooters for women in danger
In detail, between 10 pm on Friday and 5 am on Saturday and between 10 pm on Saturday and 5 am on Sunday, at least two scooters from the fleet will always be available, with a recognizable coral pink colour.
They will serve for the movements of women who want to be sure of returning home safely. OR who, even, should feel threatened by situations of possible harassment inside or when leaving the premises in the nightlife areas. The pink parking areas will be easily identifiable on the map inside theVoi Technology app.
Violawalkhome to be accompanied home
People who need assistance while looking for a parking area on the map can use the service @violawalkhome offered by DonnexStrada. Through a private message to the Instagram channel, a volunteer will start the video call and will accompany the person all the wayuntil she has safely reached her destination.
