A 45-year-old man from Zwijndrecht died on Saturday evening after a serious accident in Hoogeloon. The co-driver, a 35-year-old from Rotterdam, was seriously injured. The two came from the Dominator festival, where they had been refused entry earlier in the day.
The accident happened around a quarter past six on the Fluiter. For unknown reasons, the man from Zwijndrecht lost control of the wheel. The car crashed into a tree and came to rest in the road.
Both men were seriously injured and rushed to hospital. The driver died there. The police are investigating.
