FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – After a five-day rally in the Dax (DAX 40) and the rise above 16,000 points, the leading index initially paused on Friday. Especially since three major US banks, JPMorgan (JPMorgan ChaseCo), Citigroup and Wells Fargo (Wells FargoCo), unofficially heralded the season of quarterly reports in the USA with their business figures at noon. The Dax was 16,123 points in early trading, a moderate minus of 0.1 percent.
The MDAX with the 50 medium-sized stocks fell by 0.27 percent to 27,922 points. The EuroStoxx 50 (EURO STOXX 50) as a stock market barometer for the heavyweights of the euro zone hardly moved from the spot./bek/jha/
