The European Sub-19 is very close to reaching its end. This Thursday the semifinals have been played, and the two finalist teams will be Portugal and Italy. Along the way, they stay Norway and Spain.
In the first semifinal, Portugal, who already made it to the top in the group stage after beating Poland, Italy and Malta, has overwhelmed Norway in the semifinals with a 5-0 on the afternoon of this Thursday, with goals from Gustavo Sá, Hugo Félix (from a penalty), Rodrigo Ribeiro (double) and Celso Borges.
The Portuguese team, which had already endorsed Italy five goals in the group stage, reaches the final by scaring rivals, as the tournament’s top-scoring team, with 17 goals in five games.
In the second semifinal, the Spanish under-19 team was eliminated, beaten by Italy (2-3) in a duel in which they were always trailing, held up by Bruno Iribarne’s saves and ended up giving up five minutes from the end with Lipani’s decisive goal.
