The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed that Brunel, an ex-model scout, was found dead. An investigation has been launched into the cause of death.
Brunel was accused of recruiting young girls for Epstein, among other things. He himself denied those allegations. The wealthy Epstein committed suicide in his cell in 2019. The billionaire was arrested shortly before his death on suspicion of large-scale child abuse and trafficking.
Brunel was arrested at Charles de Gaulle airport in late 2020 when he was about to fly to Dakar. Several models had accused him of rape. In June last year, he was charged with raping a minor.
