Only a few months ago the choreographer and jury president of dancing with the Stars had decided to tell his audience that the breast cancer she was battling returned for the third time. In recent weeks, however, he had no longer updated his followers about his health conditions. Now, through a video posted on her Instagram profile, Carolyn Smith has decided to open up. And to share the ups and downs of a complex moment.
«Hello, it’s been a while since I’ve posted for a simple reason… I didn’t feel like it because it wasn’t the best time of my life. I needed time with myself and think a little, reflect as much as possible on my fragility. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to start over with new ideas and new energy», he began.

The post while waiting for chemotherapy
Carolyn Smith’s message continues with the admission of some of her weaknesses. «As you know I never give up. Even if it crossed my mind too many times. But luckily I didn’t listen to those inner voices. It was the tiredness that spoke to me. During the summer I take some time for myself. I will stay home to eat well, do daily exercises, spend quality time with my family.”
The choreographer he concluded: «I still have two business trips to go. One in Paris and the other in London… Then Padua (home) and Rome for chemotherapy. What are you doing this summer? I love you. Good day”.

The former dancer revealed last March that she was still battling cancer. She had said of her, showing herself with her hair shaved and with her unmistakable smile: «As you can see, I have a total new look due to the need to start a new oncological path. What special day to start with? March 8, Women’s Day. The significant day of female strength. As always, I face this new path with positivity, grit and a beautiful smile even if I have to admit that I am a bit frail… It fits. I’m also human sometimes».
In an interview with Five minutes by Bruno Vespa, on Rai1, Smith had recalled: «The first time I was diagnosed with cancer in 2015. Then I had surgery. In 2018 the new diagnosis up to today. This morning while they were cutting my hair I was really sorry because I’ve been waiting for the words “It’s finally over” for a long time. I hope that with this new drug with which I will treat myself there will be some positive results soon. I learned to value time».
