In the case reported by “Teltarif”, the purchase was made via the Amazon website. At no point was it apparent that the Samsung smartphone was not suitable for use in Germany. “Here there was only the indication that it was a device that was activated for all networks,” says the article.

What disappointed buyers can do
Customers cannot see from the packaging or the device itself whether it is imported. In case of doubt, you only notice it late when the smartphone causes the problems described, as in the case of the Samsung Galaxy. The “Teltarif” editors had tried everything (unsuccessfully) on a technical level to fix the error – reinstalled the stuck apps, reset the smartphone to factory settings, etc. Dissatisfied buyers have no choice but to contact the customer Contact support and try to exchange the device. Whether the new model then meets the requirements for Germany is not said.
