But that’s it, according to presenter Hélène Hendriks. She has a different regular guest every week – this week it was Özcan Akyol – but Johan won’t be.

Helen sets up Radio 538 that it is a conscious choice not to include Johan as a guest. “Yes, yes, yes, I would have liked it and maybe he would too, but those guys are going to start again in six weeks and then they will just go on for almost a full year, won’t they?”
She continues: “I do this for six weeks and everyone asks me: oh, do you need to recharge after that? Then I say: no, it’s been six weeks. But if you do this for a year… Think for a moment: driving from Grolloo, an hour and a half there and an hour and a half back. And that every day, except at the weekend, but then you have to follow everything.”
‘Rest’
It is good to leave Johan alone during this summer period, says Hélène. “Yeah, those guys need some rest. I would have liked it, but I understand very well that they are also being protected for a while.”
In the meantime, Hélène hopes to give the viewer the VI feeling herself. “I think it’s especially important that when people have watched, they also had a laugh, as is often the case with Today Inside. That you are also a little relaxed. We try to keep it a little light-hearted.”
