Ypres Cats honored in their hometown

The Cats and their physiotherapist received congratulations from mayor Emmily Talpe: “The performance of the team is special. Their sports success and perseverance are inspiring. The Belgian Cats proudly represented our country at the European Basketball Championship and showed what can be achieved through determination, teamwork and exceptional talent. I am extremely proud of Emma Meesseman, Elise Ramette and Jelle Duthoit, and congratulate them on their impressive contribution to the team’s success.”

Many people from Ypres also wanted to congratulate Meesseman, Ramette and Duthoit on their gold medal. After the official ceremony, the players made plenty of time to sign autographs on the Grote Markt in Ypres.
