A car drove right through the wall of a padel club at the Grutterij in Amstelveen tonight. That caused considerable damage, on photos you can see a large hole in the wall next to the damaged facade.
The report came in to the police at 7:05 p.m. A police spokesperson tells NH that someone wanted to leave a parking space for the sports club. “But it went backwards instead of forward,” said the spokesperson.
According to the police – unlike the wall – the car has minimal damage and no injuries were reported. The approximately twenty men who were on the padel courts at that time could continue. “We looked at the construction, but it was possible to do sports,” said the spokesman.
The padel court could not be reached for comment.
