New building for Ghent University in Kortrijk is called KUBES

The new, central campus building will make Ghent University more visible on the Kortrijk campus: the central services of the Ghent University Campus Kortrijk will move into it. The building will therefore become, as it were, the head office where UGent students can go. In addition, the building will accommodate researchers from the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering. It has been dealing with a lack of space for its fast-growing research activities at the UGent Campus Kortrijk for quite some time now. The new building offers an answer to that.

The students at the UGent Campus Kortrijk are currently already getting practicals in newly renovated labs, specifically developed for educational purposes. In a few years, students will also be able to use a brand new auditorium in the new campus building, which should be ready in the spring of 2025.
