Superligaen update
Transfermarkt has carried out a comprehensive update of the market values of the Danish Superligaen after the end of the season. One of the biggest winners comes from Germany: Yann Aurel Bisseck, the U21 national player who is about to switch from Aarhus GF to Inter Milan, recorded an increase of EUR 3.5 million to EUR 5 million – only two players received a higher figure upgrade. Right winger Gustav Isaksen from FC Midtjylland is new at the top of the Danish market value ranking.
Market values Denmark: These are the most valuable professionals in the Superligaen
The 22-year-old homegrown player scored 22 goals and nine assists in 45 games in all competitions last season. For the 19-time Denmark U21 international, the update will see an increase of EUR 2.5 million to EUR 7.5 million and thus past a Copenhagen trio consisting of Hákon Arnar Haraldsson, Viktor Claesson and Mohamed Daramy , which are located at 6 million euros each.
The 1.96 meter tall right foot Bisseck, who is currently with the DFB selection at the U21 European Championships in Romania and Georgia, switched to Aarhus last summer after a previous loan for 670,000 euros from 1. FC Köln and has played all since then League games over the full distance. Also thanks to the stable performance of the 22-year-old centre-back, Aarhus finished third in the Superligaen championship round, which entitles the club to participate in the Europa League qualifiers in the 2023/24 season.
In the course of the past year, Bisseck has been able to increase its market value fivefold, and word of its achievements has long since spread beyond the Danish borders. Champions League finalists Inter Milan will reportedly withdraw Bisseck’s €7m release clause this summer and lure the youngster to Serie A.
Market values Superligaen: Nuamah from FC Nordsjaelland with the biggest plus
Only left winger Ernest Nuamah from FC Nordsjaelland has made a bigger leap than Bisseck and Haraldsson (+€4m) in the Superligaen. For the 19-year-old, who recently made his debut in the Ghanaian national team, it’s up by 4.5 million to now also 6 million euros. Nuamah had 19 goals in 34 games in his first season in Europe and became the top scorer in runners-up ranks.
Meanwhile, the biggest losers of the Superligaen update are the champions from Copenhagen. The 44-time national player Andreas Cornelius, who moved back to Denmark from the then Turkish champions Trabzonspor last August, conceded a minus of 3.5 million euros, but fell well short of expectations with only seven league appearances.
There were also devaluations of one million euros each for Viktor Claesson, Diogo Gonçalves and Jordan Larsson, who was initially loaned from Schalke 04 and is now a permanent member.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
