Havertz is said to cost the north Londoners 75 million euros, which should also include bonus payments in addition to the fee. The structure of the deal, for example in terms of installments, was recently unclear in reports from England. Originally, Chelsea are said to have hoped for up to the equivalent of 87.65 million euros. Either way, Havertz would become the most expensive German professional in terms of total transfer revenue with the fee after his EUR 80 million move from Bayer Leverkusen to Stamford Bridge in 2020. So far, Leroy Sané (27) has held this position, with transfers to Man City and FC Bayern totaling 101 million euros.

Havertz reportedly informed the Chelsea bosses that he wanted to change in the summer, although his contract runs until 2025. If the Blues sell the Germans before July 1, the transfer will also help prevent problems with UEFA’s financial regulations, which the club faces after its record spending in the 2022/23 season.
Chelsea’s record purchases
With a market value of 55 million euros, the ex-Bundesliga professional would be by far the most valuable transfer between Arsenal and Chelsea according to the latest Premier League update. So far, at €35m, that’s Jorginho (31), who left the Blues for the Gunners for €11.3m last January. Real Madrid are said to have thought of Havertz in the meantime, but he always preferred a change within the English league.

Arsenal instead of Bayern: Havertz was not interested in returning to the Bundesliga
FC Bayern has probably dealt with the German international. The Munich team asked about Havertz, who was identified as a top alternative for the center of the attack, but were told that Arsenal was said to be ahead in the race. According to the “Picture” the record champion is observing the situation surrounding the courted professional very closely, and coach Thomas Tuchel appreciates him from their Chelsea times together. However, there is said to have been no contact between Bayern and Havertz, especially since the attacker did not consider a transfer to Säbener Straße to be attractive enough.
Asked about the profile when looking for a striker and a possible interest in Havertz, Bayern President Herbert Hainer said on “Sky” at the weekend: “We are looking for a nine, that’s certainly no secret. Unfortunately, that’s not quite that easy because there aren’t that many and the ones that exist and are really great are also swarmed by other clubs. But FC Bayern has a class name.”
