France adapts to reality and a new strain

New threat right now approaching Europe – another strain of coronavirus is spreading in France. He has not yet been given a loud name, but it is already known that this variant has 46 mutations. Most likely, the new version arrived in Europe from Cameroon. To date, 12 people have already become infected with it, and this is right after the Ministry of Health announced a shortage of doctors.

“In some countries, due to restrictions, 30% of healthcare workers cannot work, but what should we say to sick people who need help? Omicron, with good immunity, is less dangerous, but it spreads quickly. By tracing contacts, we can simplify some rules. But this does not mean that we have relaxed, it is, rather, an adaptation to a new reality, “- said Olivier Veran, Minister of Health of France.

Because of “omicron” there are at least a million Britons in isolation right now. The authorities do not plan to tighten the measures yet. Schools and some employers even decided to cancel the remote control, but only on condition of a negative PCR test.

Demonstrations in Bautzen, Germany, ended with harsh arrests. Opponents of the restrictions, despite the ban, blocked the center for the protest march. Similar actions – and in other cities. And in the capital, they are trying to accelerate the pace of vaccination, points have even been opened in nightclubs.
