Long term contract
After the transfers of Paderborn’s Ron Schallenberg and Berlin’s Paul Seguin, FC Schalke 04, who have been relegated to the Bundesliga, are apparently about to sign their third new signing for the coming season: A report by the French newspaper “L’EquipeCenter forward Bryan Lasme is coming from Arminia Bielefeld on a free transfer and will sign a contract that runs until 2027 this week.

The 24-year-old Frenchman switched from FC Sochaux to the Alm in 2021 for 800,000 euros and has since played 61 competitive games for East Westphalia, in which he contributed 16 goals. With eight goals and four assists, the left-footed player was one of the top scorers behind Robin Hack and Fabian Klos in the past season, but the 1.94 meter tall offensive man was unable to prevent the second relegation in the DSC jersey despite good statistics.
VfB Stuttgart and Hamburger SV were also said to be interested in offensive power. For the storm center of Gelsenkirchen, Lasme Stand would now be the fifth professional in coach Thomas Reis’ squad for the coming season.
TM community partly skeptical about Lasme change to Schalke
In the TM rumor mill, Lasme’s possible arrival at Schalke is sometimes viewed with skepticism. “Should Lasme come, Reis will certainly plan him primarily as a winger. In the center, Schalke is already heavily occupied with Terodde and Polter,” writes user “andy01,” for example. The user Steinhaeger attests “a difficult story. You can tell that he wants to and he has made a huge step forward, especially in the last few games under Koschinat. Koschinat probably said about him that he still has a pretty decent future if he is promoted accordingly. His strengths are above all speed and physicality, on and with the ball he definitely has deficits and sometimes moves between genius and madness. Sometimes forgets the ball or somehow stumbles it. Often looks awkward. If he gets that under control, he can definitely become a good Bundesliga player.”

User “Snickerz” however “would be skeptical about a transfer” and receives approval from “Tobi129”: “I also see absolutely no construction site in the storm. Then a pure outside player rather than one who can also play there.”
