Spaniard Alex Palou is on course for his second championship title after 2021 in the IndyCar series.
The 26-year-old celebrated his third win from the past four races in Elkhart Lake/US state of Wisconsin and further extended his overall lead.
“I’m overjoyed,” said Palou (Chip Ganassi Racing), who overtook the leading American Colton Herta with seven laps to go: “We’ll try to continue like this. We’ve been good in the points so far, but you know in IndyCar never.”
Indy 500 winner Josef Newgarden (USA/Penske) was second, Mexican Pato O’Ward in the Arrow McLaren took third place.
It continues on July 2nd in Lexington with the ninth of 17 races of the season.
