The collaboration between Den Helder Suns and Peter van Noord ends. The basketball club announces this on its own channels. Van Noord stood for the group in Den Helder for six years.
“In the conversations after the season it became clear that we were no longer on the same page,” says Peter van Noord on Den Helder Suns’ Instagram account. The 60-year-old coach is currently preparing for the European Championship with the Orange under twenty. Partly due to Van Noord’s efforts, Suns returned to the highest level of basketball in 2017. “In addition, I myself felt the need to take on another challenge, which hopefully will come my way soon.”

In the regular Dutch competition, Den Helder finished eighth with four victories. The BNXT league was then merged and it finished second to last.
