Luxury brand Hervé Léger has appointed Michelle Ochs, founder of womenswear brand Et Ochs, to the role of creative director.
Ochs succeeds Christian Juul Nielsen, who has held the position since 2018. The designer will be responsible for all creative aspects of the French brand’s clothing and sportswear collections. Her first collection for Hervé Léger will be for the Spring/Summer 2024 season and will be presented during New York Fashion Week in September.
“Hervé Léger is a historic fashion house. I’m honored to lead the team in this next chapter and put my stamp on this iconic brand,” Ochs said in a statement on Instagram on Monday.
Ochs attended Parsons School of Design in New York and founded the Cushnie et Ochs brand together with Carly Cushnie in 2008. Ten years later, Ochs left the shared label and launched their own brand, Et Ochs, in 2021. departed the contemporary fashion label in 2018 after the brand’s 10th-anniversary show and launched Et Ochs, her own label, in 2021. According to reports, the designer will continue to work for Et Ochs in an advisory capacity.
