Italian Fuoco set the fastest time in the Hyperpol
The Spanish Miguel Molina and the Danish Nicklas Nielsen make up the team along with the transalpine
Ferrari number 50, with the shortlist made up of the Italian Antonio Fouco, the Spanish Miguel Molina and the Danish Nicklas Nielsen, will start from ‘pole position’ in the centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans which will be held next Saturday.
Italian Fuoco, who shares the Ferrari 50 in the race with Molina and Nielsen, set the fastest time in the Hyperpole that determines the starting grid for the 91st edition of the event. He completed his best lap in 3 minutes, 22 seconds and 982 thousandths.
Fifty years after its last participation in 1973, the Ferrari team placed its two 499 P in the front rowas the number 51 piloted by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi set the second fastest time, at 0.773.
Toyota had to settle for third placedespite the fact that always, since 2017, he had achieved pole position. He will start behind the two Ferraris in the number 8 GR010 of the trio of Buemi, Hartley and Hirakawa, while the number 7 was fifth.
