Thomas Müller feels sorry for BVB

Former football world champion Thomas Müller also feels sorry for his competitor Borussia Dortmund after his twelfth German championship title in a heartbeat final.

“I’m by no means apologizing for the fact that we won the championship and that we’re happy about it,” said Müller after the final 2-1 win at 1. FC Köln: “But when you think of the others and change your perspective I’m sorry. Even though they might not want to hear it or need it. I’m not trying to come across as bighearted or anything, but it’s tough.”

Due to the circumstances, the eleventh championship title in a row is a very special one. “The most emotional was perhaps my first,” said the 33-year-old: “But I think that was the craziest, and I don’t know if you can measure what the pancreas releases there.”
