Samantha Weinstein is dead: The Canadian actress and musician has succumbed to ovarian cancer at the age of 28. She reportedly died in Toronto on May 14, according to US industry news “The Hollywood Reporters” writes. Her agent is also quoted in it: Weinstein worked on recordings for a speaking role until May 4th.
The actress’ Instagram read: “After two and a half years of cancer treatment and a life of traveling the world, singing to a plethora of cartoon animals, making music, and knowing more about life than most people ever know she is on her way to her next adventure.” At the time of her death, Weinstein was surrounded by her loved ones.
As late as November 2022 and April of this year, Samantha shared photos of the wedding with her husband.

Weinstein played Brooke in the indie drama Reign and a younger Hagar in director Kari Skogland’s film adaptation of Margaret Laurence’s novel The Stone Angel. She played Heather in Carrie, the 2013 American horror film remake based on the 1974 Stephen King novel of the same name.
Weinstein is also known as the lead singer and guitarist for the Toronto garage rock band Killer Virgins.
