The A67 is closed in both directions on Wednesday morning after a delivery van caught fire near Geldrop. Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m. to extinguish the fire.
Between Asten and Geldrop there is a traffic jam of about 13 kilometers around that time. This results in a delay of an hour. Traffic is also jammed in the other direction.
As soon as it is safe enough to pass again, the road will be reopened, Rijkswaterstaat said.
Just after seven o’clock an accident was reported on the A67 near Geldrop. moments later, a car turned out to be on fire. As far as is known, no one was injured.
