Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Legal Consultancy announced the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) referrals dated 22 May 2023. Samet Akaydin, who plays for Fenerbahçe, was referred to PFDK because of his spitting in the Trabzonspor match played on 18 May. The following statements were included in the referral report:
“FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. Club football player SAMET AKAYDİN, due to his “spitting” in the FENERBAHÇE A.Ş.-TRABZONSPOR A.Ş. Spor Toto Super League match played on 18.05.2023, pursuant to Article 41 of the Football Discipline Order, the date of 22.05.2023 It has been decided that he will be sent to PFDK as a precautionary measure since then.”
