Nuisance expected tomorrow at De Lijn due to national day of action

The demonstration continues in Brussels. The social unrest at the Delhaize retail chain is the reason for the national action day of ACV, ACLVB and ABVV. At Aldi, Colruyt and Lidl, there is also great concern among the staff about the future plans of the managements.

The demonstration was originally planned for May 10 and was specifically dedicated to the retail sector. Tomorrow there will be a demonstration for all sectors against lowering wages and working conditions.

Transport company De Lijn is already looking ahead to the expected inconvenience for travelers. Overall, De Lijn will make 55 percent of all journeys. There will be disruption throughout Flanders for both the bus and the tram throughout the day. Travelers are advised to check online whether their journey is being carried out.

The trains will run normally. The NMBS has not received a strike notice. The railway company warns of possible disruptions because many travelers are expected on the trains.
