Finnish representative Käärijä, real name Jere Pöyhönen, who finished second in Eurovision, visited Ylen today A-Studioin the talk show. Pöyhönen said in the interview that he had gotten used to his ranking and the great popularity that the competition brought him during the past few days.

Pöyhönen participated in the program remotely. The artist was not wearing a shirt or the bolero seen as a competition outfit, but only the medal from Eurovision hanging around his neck. However, the iconic green bolero was hung on a hanger behind Pöyhönen.

Pöyhönen also highlighted how Finns have joined the Käärijä fandom in a special way.

– People joined the craze and started spreading the Käärijä good news. This has not been entirely my fault, here is a big thank you to the people who put on the bolero and made the Käärijä tart. Yes, it was the whole nation’s story, he continued.

New housing patterns

Pöyhönen said that he was especially grateful for the opportunity to represent Finland at Eurovision. When asked about dreams related to artistry, Pöyhönen opened the curtain on his private life.

– The dream would certainly be to get out of that 20-square-meter room at some point, but let’s see at what point it will happen, he revealed.

– Maybe if you’re thinking about an artist career, I don’t know, I’m just trying to enjoy and make good music with friends. Let’s see if it ends next year, then it will end, then we’ll come up with something else, he added.

Pöyhönen wanted to say one big goal out loud.

– My aim is to be Finland’s strongest live performer. Let’s get going, he concluded his interview.
