The title race in the Bundesliga is getting worse and worse: Last weekend, leaders FC Bayern and pursuers BVB celebrated victories. Trainer legend Peter Neururer now sees the greater pressure on the defending champion from Munich.
Only one point separates FC Bayern from Borussia Dortmund after 32 match days. Coach Thomas Tuchel’s protégés should definitely not feel safe yet – especially since RB Leipzig is an extremely dangerous team in the Allianz Arena next Saturday.
“Bayern have to be careful. They have a real opponent next weekend. That’s a touchstone,” cult coach Peter Neururer warned the record champions in a video post for the “Betting Friends” portal.
In the most recent 6-0 win against FC Schalke 04, the league leaders asserted themselves “in a convincing manner” and proved that they were “on the right track again”, but now a “highly dangerous” challenge awaits FCB in Leipzig.
Neururer’s assessment: “A draw would be bad for Bayern Munich, because Borussia Dortmund will probably not be naked again. And if they do, they don’t deserve the championship either.”
Peter Neururer sees BVB in “outstanding condition”
BVB takes on FC Augsburg early Sunday evening (5:30 p.m.). With the Fuggerstadt team, the Westphalians finally want to get their weaknesses away from home under control.
In the last home games against VfL Wolfsburg (6-0) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (5-2), Edin Terzic’s team was in “outstanding condition”, praised Neururer.
It will now be exciting to see whether Dortmund can also show their goal hunger abroad this time. In the last four Bundesliga guest appearances, the black and yellow remained without a win (three draws, one defeat).
