AACHEN (dpa-AFX) – The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj and Chancellor Olaf Scholz met on Sunday at a base of the armed forces visited Ukrainian soldiers in Aachen. After talking to the soldiers who are being trained there, Zelenskyy presented medals to some of them, the president said on Telegram. “Thank you guys for representing our country,” Zelenskyy wrote. “Come back and make our army even more powerful on the battlefield.”
Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in various weapon systems in several European countries for some time. With these weapons, the Ukrainian armed forces will be strengthened in the fight against the invasion of Russian troops.
