Dani Olmo should be on the list as a possible new signing at Bayern. At least that’s what a media report said this week. However, another source has now reported that there is nothing to be said about the alleged interest of Munich in the midfield star of RB Leipzig.

As stated in a “Sport1” report, the reports that the German record champions are hot for a summer transfer from Dani Olmo should not be true. The Spanish national player was therefore not identified by FC Bayern as a transfer target.

According to the report, the league leaders are planning to continue using their budgeted forces for the tenth position in the central attacking midfield for the coming season. These are primarily the two national players Jamal Musiala and Thomas Müller.

While Jamal Musiala already has a long-term contract with Munich until 2026, the working paper of club veteran Thomas Müller only runs until the summer of 2024. There had recently been wild rumors about the 33-year-old after he was under the new Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel had lost his regular place.

FC Bayern is looking intensively for a new centre-forward

According to “Sport1” information, it should at least be clear that Leipzig’s Dani Olmo should not be a candidate who could inherit Müller from Bayern.

The center forward position should continue to be the biggest transfer construction site for the upcoming summer at the German industry leader. In addition, possible alternatives for the six-man position in the central-defensive midfield are being looked out for.

Attacking player Dani Olmo switched to the Red Bulls in winter 2020 and quickly became one of the best players in the Bundesliga. In the current season he played 21 league games for RB Leipzig, in which he contributed two goals. His contract with the Saxons runs until 2024.
