Jong PSV caused a resounding surprise in the Kitchen Champion Division by beating leader PEC Zwolle 3-1. TOP Oss played a creditable 1-1 draw at Young AZ. FC Den Bosch was stuck at 0-0 against the last of Jong Utrecht.
Young PSV – PEC Zwolle 3-1
Young PSV gave leader PEC Zwolle an expensive defeat in the battle for the championship in the Kitchen Champion Division. The people of Zwolle are tied with Heracles with two more match days. Young PSV started energetically. In the first part of the game, goals from Dante Sealy and Foda Fofana were disallowed. PEC Zwolle hit the post no less than three times in the entire match.
Jason van Duiven helped Jong PSV to a 1-0 lead. Just before half-time, PEC Zwolle came alongside through an own goal from Jenson Seelt.
The home team played a good game. Five minutes after the break, she took the lead again thanks to a goal from Livano Comenencia, who scored his first goal in professional football. In stoppage time, Simon Colyn finally closed the game.
Young AZ – TOP Oss 1-1
The opening phase was for Young AZ. Most chances were therefore for the Alkmaar formation. TOP Oss goalkeeper Thijs Jansen prevented the home team from scoring with some great saves.
After half an hour Ilounga Pata surprised friend and foe with a slider, 0-1. For a long time it seemed that the Ossenaren would go home with the victory. Three minutes before the end, Ernest Poku threw a spanner in the works, 1-1.
Jong FC Utrecht – FC Den Bosch 0-0
Ryan Leijten had an excellent opportunity to open the score for the team from Bosschen after ten minutes. Tomas Kalinauskas put a free kick on Leijten’s head. His header, however, hit the crossbar. Jong FC Utrecht bit off and was close to a hit. Especially Mees Dijks was dangerous a few times. Wouter van der Steen kept the Bossche goal clean with good goalkeeper work.
