After the accident of two commuter trains in Bavaria, the emergency section was closed for restoration work. There were about a hundred people in two trains, at the moment it is known about one dead and dozens of wounded.
Earlier it was reported that on February 14 at about 16:40 (about 18:40 Moscow time) near the Ebenhausen-Scheftlarn railway station faced two passenger trains.
According to thelocal.de resource, the trains were traveling towards each other along the same path. Why they ended up in this area at the same time, emergency services are now investigating. As a result of the collision, at least one carriage derailed.
Data on the victims is still being specified, but it is known that dozens of people were injured, one of them died. Rescuers had to release the wounded driver of one of the trains, who was trapped in the cab.
Currently, restoration work is underway at the scene, in which about 200 rescuers are involved, the emergency section is blocked. Buses are used to transport passengers to their destinations. The details of the incident are being specified.
