But Klos wants to continue his career. “My sporting journey continues somewhere else”, he assured. In 2011 Klos switched from the 2nd team of VfL Wolfsburg to Arminia, which was still playing in the 3rd division at the time.
In the summer of 2020 he rose with the Bielefeld team and still made his debut in the first division. Born in Lower Saxony, he played 383 competitive games for Arminia, scoring 162 goals and providing 71 assists. Most recently, however, Klos was only a supplementary player.
No starting XI since December
In the 22 games of the season he made 20 appearances and recorded three goals and two assists, but he has not been in the starting XI since mid-December. “Everyone knows how much I love this club and this city and that will never change” said Klos:
“Nevertheless, I have come to the decision not to extend my contract, which is due to expire in the summer. This decision has both sporting and personal reasons. As difficult as it was for me, it is the right one for me at this point in time.”
