Tattoo artist Kat Von D and The 69 Eyes release a new song together.
Tattoo artist Katherine von Drachenberg is best known in Finland by his artist name Kat Von D. Many people remember his elaborate tattoo work in TV shows LA Inc and Miami Ink.
In recent years, however, the woman has focused on her singing career. The Mexican artist releases the second song of his career with the Finnish band The 69 Eyes. It’s chillingly tragic This Murder Takes Two -murder ballad.
Kat Von D laughs in an interview with Iltalehti that she has known the “boys of ’69” for a long time. The first joint song Rosary Blue appeared already in 2013.
– I love that song. Every time I hear it, I get a little sensitive because I was very insecure then. I have grown as an artist and a person since those times, the woman says.

Kat Von D is looking forward to performing her new song to a live audience.
During the interview, it becomes clear that Kat Von D is a real fan of Finland. He has visited the North so many times that he no longer even remembers the number of his trips.
Nordic rock music in particular once made an impression on the woman.
– I have many friends in Finland. I have tattooed several members of Finnish bands during visits. At the same time, I fell in love with Finns and nature, which is really beautiful, he continues.
– Nature has always inspired me. It was also one of the reasons why my family and I decided to move to the middle of nowhere. Living in the city doesn’t interest me, you can go there, but then it’s nice to get out of there.

The artist sold his make-up brand a couple of years ago in order to better focus on making music. He has more than 9 million followers on Instagram. Kat Von D understands that she is a kind of role model for some young people.
However, the change from a tattoo artist to a singer has required hard work.
– Fortunately, my fans understand that I don’t do anything I don’t believe in one hundred percent myself.
The initial uncertainty has faded along the way.
– I feel that I have become a better singer. I believe we all want to be better. I think it’s a healthy competition against yourself, says the singer, who is working on her second studio album.
