De Grote Post celebrates its 10th anniversary with a living clock
Ten years ago, Ostend was one of the few central cities without a cultural centre. The post office was then empty and the city council saved the beautiful building by architect Gaston Eysselinck by turning it into a vibrant culture house.
Living clock
One of the eye-catchers during the festive weekend is the ‘living clock’. About 1,400 extras depict the time on a digital clock from eight o’clock this morning until midnight. The end result will eventually be given a permanent place in the counter hall of De Grote Post.
