Coach Roger Schmidt has missed another step towards winning the title with the Portuguese soccer record champions Benfica Lisbon.
Benfica lost the top game against FC Porto on Good Friday 1-2 (1-1), but still have a seven-point lead over their closest pursuer.
Thanks to an own goal by Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa (10th minute), the hosts actually started well. But shortly before the break, Benfica went into a weak phase that Mateus Uribe (45th) used to equalize. Shortly after half-time, Mehdi Taremi (54th) caused the second league defeat of the Schmidt team this season.
