Kayserispor Club Press Spokesperson Samet Koç said that he believes they will reach the semi-finals by defeating Fenerbahçe, which they will face on Thursday, April 6, in the quarter-finals of the Ziraat Turkish Cup.
Answering the questions of journalists and fans on the club’s YouTube channel, Koç made statements about the Fenerbahçe match, as well as the closed transfer board and coach Çağdaş Atan.
Noting that Fenerbahce’s defeat to Beşiktaş at home in Spor Toto Super League might be a chance for them, Koç stated that this demoralization can be evaluated.
Explaining that Kayserispor set two goals in front of him when the league started this year, Koç said that one of them is to reach 51 points in the league and the other is to win the Turkish Cup.
Emphasizing that they aim to play the final and bring the trophy to the facilities, as they did last year, Koç said, “We attach importance to the Fenerbahce match. Our coach, players, management and all our community are aware of this, I believe we will win. Yesterday, Fenerbahçe tribunes had a serious reaction. It creates an effect. Emphasizing that they made an effort to open the transfer board upon a question, Koç said, “If you are competing in the Super League, you need to have a rich squad. We continue with the squad of last year and we lost more than five players. In an environment where the transfer board will not open, we also consider the separation of the players whose contracts we could not renew. “If we keep it, it will be much more difficult to fight in the Super League next year.
