FC Bayern conceded fifth European bankruptcy in a row

The basketball players of FC Bayern Munich have also lost the fifth Euroleague game in a row.

The Bundesliga club, who have already been eliminated, lost to the French club AS Monaco 81:84 (40:45) and remain in the lower region of the table with a record of 11:21 wins.

Coach Andrea Trinchieri’s hosts were just behind the playoff participants from the Principality until the break.

Munich found no recipe against the outstanding Monegasque Mike James. The former NBA pro scored 18 of his 28 total points in 20 minutes.

After a good third period (20:12), Bayern turned the game around (60:57), but, as so often in this Euroleague season, temporarily lost control completely in the final round.

With a 11:2 run, Monaco was able to turn the duel around again. Bayern came back with two successful shots from distance by Vladimir Lucic (81:84/40th minute), but Monaco stayed calm and clinched the away win.

Best scorer at Bayern was Lucic with 20 points.
