Number of speeding fines increased by 27% last year: “Eight out of ten drivers drive too fast in zone 30”

The FPS Justice reports a remarkable increase in the number of speeding fines: from 4.9 million immediate collections in 2021 to 6.2 million in 2022 – an increase of no less than 27 percent. That’s not the only worrying number, though. What’s going on on our roads? “We are already arguing for a driving license with points,” says Stef Willems of traffic institute VIAS.
