Greenpeace demands ban on private jets

Last year, 239 flights departed from Kortrijk-Wevelgem airport to Lille. A route of barely 30 kilometers. Last year, more than 10,500 private flights departed from all over Belgium, which is more than half more than in 2021. The flights caused as much CO2 as the average annual emissions of roughly 27,000 cars.
