Update Liga MX Clausura
Transfermarkt have updated the Mexican Liga MX market values. Deportivo Toluca’s Maximiliano Araújo is the biggest winner of the update with a 75 percent increase in value – his market value jumping from 4 million to now 7 million euros.
The professional from Uruguay has been involved in nine goals in twelve games and made a significant contribution to his team being in the top four in the table. “The 23-year-old takes on Toluca after joining in January (came from Puebla FC for €5.6m, d. editor) played a leading role right from the start,” confirms Eduardo Hernández, Area Manager at Transfermarkt Mexico. Besides Araújo, the other big winner of this update is Monterrey defender Víctor Guzmán. The “Stier” increased its value from 3 million to 5 million euros, it is considered coveted by clubs from Europe. Other winners include Arturo González (CF Monterrey, +1 to €7m), Santos Lagunas Juan Brunetta (+2 to 5.5),CF Américas Álvaro Fidalgo (+1 to 7), Guadalajaras Jesús Orozco (+ 1.5 to 4) and Arturo González (CF Monterrey, +1 to 7).
At reigning champions CF Pachuca, top scorer Javier Eduardo López makes a jump. “Chofis” has already contributed six goals and two assists this season and is regarded as the thinker and leader in the blue and white ranks. Its market value increases from EUR 3.5 million to EUR 5 million. Besides López, youngster Mauricio Isais is Pachuca’s other big winner. “Despite his young age of 21, Isaís, who has dual citizenship, is already on the verge of making the leap to the national teams of either Mexico or the United States,” Hernandez explains.

Meanwhile, in the squad of the second most valuable team in the Liga Tigres UANL to date, Nicolás López (-3 to €4m), Guido Pizarro (-1 to 2) and Juan Pablo Vigón (-0.5 to 1.5) received devaluations.
