For some reason Gordon is angry with Evert Santegoeds. He has blocked the Private editor-in-chief and Shownieuws expert on Instagram. “Yes, he is sometimes angry from time to time.”
It seems that Gordon is completely done with the negative statements that Evert Santegoeds makes about him. The Private boss regularly lashes out at his colleague at SBS 6. For example, he has called him a noisy attention grabber, he said that Gordon is not worth his salary and that his TV career is in the doldrums.
Ever blocked
In fact, Evert is often right, but it’s no secret that Gordon’s resilience has never worked properly. He much prefers to listen to types like Bridget Maasland and Frank Dane, who really talk to him completely. And that is of course Gordon’s right.
When Evert is asked about Gordon’s new fiancée, he answers in the podcast Strictly Private: “I don’t know what I think either, because of course we don’t know him at all and I can’t follow him anymore, because he blocked me on Instagram. So I was the last to find out that he had good news to report.”
Sometimes angry
Why did Gordon block him? “Yes, he is angry from time to time,” he says. “I was all forwarded that Gordon is getting married and then I saw a gray screen. That means you are blocked. He is angry about something that he probably does not remember what it was.”
Colleague Jordi Versteegden: “So you don’t expect an invitation to the wedding later?”
Evert: “Well, by then it could be completely different again. Well, I like the fact that Gordon has never lost faith in love.”
Drink and drugs
Evert doesn’t try very hard. He is now making mincemeat of the fact that Gordon used to blame the media for a broken relationship. “If he puts his hand in his own bosom… I know enough of his exes and there are very good guys among them and that has also gone wrong, not because of the media, but because of drink and drugs.”
They destroy ‘more than he would have liked’, says Evert. “If he is very honest, you cannot always blame the media for that. He was indeed himself, but let’s hope that he is in calmer waters and has finally found the right one with Gavin.
‘Nothing is sure’
Gordon wants to marry his newest boyfriend this fall. “I had to laugh really hard that Gordon’s management says: ‘Well, it’s definitely going to take place this year.’ I thought: well, certainly has not always been something in the past, but they are determined to get married indeed.”
Jordi: “They have been together for two and a half months. Of course we can think anything about it, but we also have to be careful, because Gordon said in his previous relationship that it was the media’s fault that his relationship had gone, ‘because we thought everything about it’. So I don’t really dare to say what I think about this.”
