Russia is optimizing the staffing of its foreign missions in Ukraine. The main functions of the embassy and consulates will be preserved. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova. This decision was made against the backdrop of fears of possible provocations by the Kiev regime or third countries.
At the same time, the statesman called information about the evacuation rumors Russian diplomats in Ukraine. This was reported by some Western media. Zakharova drew attention to the fact that the purpose of such stuffing is to create a cover for the start of the evacuation by the United States, Great Britain, Canada and other countries of their diplomats and their families.
Russia believes that Washington and London have information about military actions being prepared in Ukraine. They can be aimed at complicating the security situation, Maria Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Kiev is ready for different scenarios. The department also notes that it is now critically important to remain calm. Actions that can undermine stability should be avoided.
