“We see in such statements only the desire of the administration to maximize the degree of the propaganda campaign against our country. To form the impression among the public that “aggression” is inevitable,” the diplomat stressed.

US officials, he said, continue to “show off” by not giving details of the intelligence they base their statements on.

On Friday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Russia could launch an invasion of Ukraine “at any moment”, including during the Beijing Olympics.
