The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has indicated this Saturday that he will not support the motion of censure presented by Vox, which will be debated on March 21 and 22, to not contribute to “breathing air into a government that is in discount time“.
At the closing of a PP act in Cartagena, Feijóo has admitted that the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, will win the parliamentary vote “without any effort”, but has warned him that “has lost people“and that the PP will work to win at the polls.
For Feijóo, the motion of censure is a “ball of oxygen” for an Executive who, in his opinion, “is in office” and in which “the attachment to the position is the only glue that amalgamates the broken coalition”.
In this sense, he has made it ugly that “in the next few days there will be a government crisis” due to the change in the ministers of Health, Carolina Darias, and Industry, Reyes Maroto, who will leave their posts because they are running for mayor with the PSOE, and has censored that The Government “lives in a permanent crisis”.
Specifically, he has criticized that the Executive has had “40 ministers appointed in just five years“and “without having been able to agree” on issues such as the “illegal invasion of Russia in Ukraine, the botched modification of the ‘only yes is yes’ law, the repeal of the Citizen Security Law or to see how to lower purchase prices”.
“They care little about the interests of citizens and the situation in Spain. Because? Because the only thing that matters to them is survival in Moncloa”, he has insisted in this regard.
Thus, he has especially attacked the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, or the Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón, in addition to the Minister of Education and FP, Pilar Alegría, whom he has regretted going to the PSOE headquarters in Ferraz “to read arguments and insult him every day”.
“Being a minister to insult others does not seem to be a very intelligent question. I confess that it worries me because it says a lot about how Sanchismo is,” the PP leader added.
In addition, He has criticized that the Executive, “use the press conferences of the Council of Ministers” to attack him, which, in his opinion, “proves that he does not have any interesting agreement approved”, and that he also criticizes the Government in control sessions.
Petition to the “non-sanchista” socialists
In this context, he referred to the PSOE campaign slogan ‘Defend what you think’. “Sánchez has done the exact opposite of what he has said and nobody knows what he thinks,” he warned. Feijóo has also taken advantage of this motto to ask “non-Sanchista socialists” to “defend what they think”.
“If you think that you cannot sleep with Podemos in the Government, defend it. If you think that Bildu and the independence movement cannot have the key to the Government, defend it,” he cried.
On the other hand, the president of the ‘popular’ has stressed that the formation “has taken the path of centrality”as he stated when he came to office a year ago, and has defended his “incredible” project in the “economic, social and infrastructure fields”.
“A project that consists of paying what is owed and not leaving pufos everywhere, which consists of not spending more than what you have and paying what is owed, which is addressed to the majority who are focused and who do not want to discuss for politics”, he has added in this regard, to trust that he will be able to “materialize” his work in the May elections.
