Champions League quarter-finals, A’s calendar changes: that’s when Napoli, Milan and Inter will play

On Tuesday, the League will formalize the calendar of both the pre-Easter day and that from the thirtieth to the thirty-fourth. TVs in favor of advances

All confirmed after the draws for the Champions League: Milan, Naples and Inter have asked the Lega Serie A to bring forward their matches on the twenty-ninth day, the pre-Easter one, all set for Saturday 8 April. Lecce-Napoli, Salernitana-Inter and Milan-Empoli, therefore, will be played on Friday 7. The announcement will come on Tuesday when from via Rosellini they will issue the program of matches from the thirtieth to the thirty-fourth which will naturally take into account the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League and the other european cups.

OK FOR TVS WITH 3 SLOTS

The anticipation of the three matches of our teams in the quarter-finals of the Champions League is therefore not official, but the TVs are certainly happy with the move because originally there were 5 slots for Saturday 8 April (12.30 with Lecce-Napoli and Udinese-Monza; 14 ,30 Fiorentina-Spezia and Salernitana-Inter; 16.30 Milan-Empoli and Sampdoria-Cremonese; 18.30 Atalanta-Bologna and Turin-Rome; 20.30 Hellas Verona-Sassuolo and Lazio-Juventus), while moving 3 matches to on Friday, the different slots could even become 8 playing Lecce-Napoli at 17 (Dazn only), Salernitana-Inter at 19 (Dazn only) and Milan-Empoli at 21 (Dazn and Sky). This is the hypothesis they are working on in via Rosellini. In these days, the League will carry on the dialogue with the televisions and with all the interested companies, but there is the will to put our teams in the Champions League race in the best possible conditions, naturally respecting all the other formations involved in the championship and their respective supporters.

STRESS INTER

Napoli and Milan are out of the Coppa Italia and have no problems (indeed…) in anticipating their commitment in Serie A to Friday the 7th. For Inter, on the other hand, it will be a tour de force given that the Nerazzurri will play on Tuesday 4th April the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg in Turin (9pm), on Friday 7th they will go to Salerno (departure the day before) and then on Tuesday 11th to Lisbon (departure the day before). Three away games in a row with little chance to rest.

OTHER DAYS

Naturally, matchday 30 will also have some advances: Napoli-Monza and Bologna-Milan will probably be played on Saturday 15th (difficult Friday 14th) given that the Rossoneri and Azzurri will face each other in the first leg of the quarter-finals on Wednesday 12th and in the second leg on Tuesday 18th in San Paolo. However, Inter too will ask for the home match against Monza to be brought forward to Saturday the 15th.
