Arsenal and Sporting had to seek a solution for the quarter-finals of the Europa League in extra time.

The reason for that is Pedro Gonçalves, who scored an absolutely incredible fairytale goal at the Emirates.

Watch Pedro Gonçalves’ amazing equalizer in the video. The deciding matches of the European League can be watched on VSport’s channels and on Elisa Viihde’s Viaplay service.

The 24-year-old Portuguese saw how the Gunners’ goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was too far from his goal, so he decided to send a precise curling ball from 46 meters.

It dropped just in time under the top log as Ramsdale desperately retreated back to his plot.

Gonçalves’ goal ensured that the teams were tied after both 90 minutes (1–1) and 180 minutes (3–3-).

Thus, a solution had to be sought from the extended period. And when it remained goalless, we moved on to shoot the tough guys.

That’s the Sporting jacket Antonio Adán repelled by Gabriel Martinelli I bet. And when Nuno Santos pulled a decisive point in the next innings, Sporting celebrated wildly on the Emirates turf.

The Lisbon club completes the quarter-final eight of the Europa League. The teams will find out their opponents in the next round in the draw starting at 14:00 on Friday.
